Question: Does the facility provide education on employment or job placement service?
Answer:
I This facility invites the Taiwan After-Care Association and employment service personnel to provide information on employment, introduction to different professions, and employment supervision for the juvenile inmates from time to time.
II For juvenile inmates who have a need for employment or that have participated in vocational training after discharge, this facility will voluntarily refer them to the Taiwan After-Care Association and the Yulin-Chiayi-Tainan Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor to request for assistance for the juvenile inmates for job placement or participation in vocational training.
III After discharge from this facility, juvenile inmates may bring with them the certificate of discharge (hospital, centers, school) to seek assistance from the household registration office of their locality, or visit the local placement service stations in person, or access the website of the Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training of the Council of the Labor Affairs of the Executive Yuan to apply for matching, and inquire about vocational training courses. Those who intend to start up their own business may apply for assistance in resources from the local chapters of the Taiwan After-Care Association.
